I met with the underground Hip-Hop Artist recently to discuss Hip-Hop, Graffiti, & His past.
The Handz of Time stands at about 6'2 and if you haven't for some reason noticed he is pretty big, so when I met up with him, he probably wasn't that surprised when I said, "Right this way, Logan." He smiled and told me, "You know in high school, my emcee alias was Weapon X." He went on to say he dropped it awhile back, being that so many headz have that name, and that the release of all the Marvel movies doesn't help.
So whats your History in regards to Graffiti, were you ever a writer?
Way back, back to middle school. I was actually into bombing before I ever picked up a Mic. Who taught you how to write?
I was taught by a graffhead whose Tag at the time was "TEST," he actually taught me and "QUART" at the same time. I remember both of us going through his stlye and letters at the same time, trying to replicate it. So do you still bomb now?
Not really, no time, im dedicated to my music and Label. What was your Tag?
I rather keep it a secret, I know Hip hop artist let people know, like Inspectah Deck being "Rebel Ins" but, not me, not in case I ever want to fuck with it again. Cool, so you never got caught? What made you quit?
Never got caught did have to run a couple times a couple of scuffles too. My music made me quit, I knew I was better at it. I was never a great graffhead, not as good as I wanted to be.
I practiced non-stop but, both Test & Quart- those cats have it in them, they were always better than me. Well you got our attention on a site called Hiphop2099.com, They seem to heavily support you can you talk about that?
Yes, I just had someone get my demo's out to sites, and apparently they picked it up. Next thing I know im their highest ranked Artist ever.
Since then im in constant contact with them, they even run some things by me, its almost like a merger of sorts. Favorite Graffiti Artist?
In the old school, SEEN. New school, Probably DAIM. Although, that artist you have on the main page, with the illusions, that kidz sick too.
